Russia to Reinforce Abkhaz Section of Border

(Tbilisi, January 9, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Russian media sources reported today quoting the Border Guard Department officials that the additional checkpoints of the border guards will be established at the Abkhaz section of the Russo-Georgian border in 2003.

The border will be reinforced with deployment of the additional units of the border guards as well.

Recently Russian Border Guard Department announced that the special units of the border guards will be create to reinforce the Chechen section of the Russian-Georgian border.
