IDPs Protest in Front of Parliament

(Tbilisi, January 22, 2003. Civil Georgia) – IDPs from Abkhazia hold the protest rally in front of the Parliament today.

Up to 1000 protesters at the Parliament demand withdrawal of the Russian peacekeepers from the Abkhazian conflict zone and pull out of the Russian military bases from Georgia.

The IDPs protest rally with the same demands is also held in front of the Russian embassy in Tbilisi and at Enguri river, which is the administrative border between breakaway Abkhazia and the rest of Georgia.
