FSB: ‘Terrorists’ Infiltrate North Caucasus via Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan

Chief of the Russia’s federal Security Service (FSB) department for fight against international terrorism Yuri Sapunov said on June 23 that ā€œterroristā€ penetrate into the North Caucasus mainly via Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan, RIA Novosti news agency reported.    


ā€œIn the course of joint activities with our foreign partners, we have received confirmation of this fact many times; the route of sending terrorists to the North Caucasus starts on the territory of the western European states, which then goes through Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia,ā€ Yuri Sapunov said.
