FSB: ‘Terrorists’ Infiltrate North Caucasus via Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan
Chief of the Russia’s federal Security Service (FSB) department for fight against international terrorism Yuri Sapunov said on June 23 that āterroristā penetrate into the North Caucasus mainly via Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
āIn the course of joint activities with our foreign partners, we have received confirmation of this fact many times; the route of sending terrorists to the North Caucasus starts on the territory of the western European states, which then goes through Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia,ā Yuri Sapunov said.
