Protest Rally Calls for Saakashvili’s Resignation

Several hundred protesters rallied outside Parliament on May 10 to protest against various social problems, including rising prices on public commodities and services.

The protest rally, which was organized by the opposition Labor Party, also demanded President Saakashvili’s resignation.

Leaders and activists from other opposition parties, including the Freedom Party, the Georgian Troupe and People’s Party, also joined the protest.
