The CoE Evaluates Implementation of Georgia’s Commitments

The monitoring committee of the Council of Europe will evaluate how the obligations taken by Georgia while entering the COE (Council of Europe) are being implimented. The monitoring group will report to the CoE Parliamentary Assembly by the end of September.

It took two days for members of the monitoring group to get known with the conditions existing in the country. In spite of requirement Georgia has not passed the law on national minorities yet.

The monitoring group will also report outlook about the electoral bill and law on local self-governance passed by the Parliament of Georgia.
