Citizens’ Union Is Losing Its MPs
One more deputy left the ruling party Citizens’ Union. Anzor Tamarashvili, deputy from Akhaltsikhe, joined the opposition faction New Rightist. According to non-official information, Tamarashvili’s decision is related to the disagreement between Citizens’ Union and the Governor of Samtskhe-Javakheti (region in southern Georgia) Gigla Baramidze.
Tamarashvili is the second MP to quit CUG after Koba Davitashvili, one of the most visible member of the Magority, left the party over disagreement with the President’s policies.
