Shevardnadze May Resign from CUG Chairmanship
President Eduard Shevardnadze told the members of the Citizens Union of Georgia (CUG) on September 15, that he might resign from the party chairmanship, Rustavi 2 TV reported.
During the consultations with CUG at State Chancellery, Shevardnadze reiterated his support for re-introduction of the cabinet of ministers. However, President added, these structural changes will leave him with no time to effectively lead his party.
