Russia Demands Extradition of Terrorists from Georgia

Today Russian Foreign Ministry sent an official note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia with demands to extradite the persons, who are presently in Georgia and have been training in Pankisi valley participating in the military action in Chechnya. Russia demands abolition of the Representation of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria in Tbilisi as well.

Official Tbilisi categorically refuses presence of Chechen guerillas and terrorists in Georgia. Kakha Imnadze, press secretary of the President of Georgia stated, that Russia itself is harboring terrorist who are guilty in unsuccessful terrorist attacks on President Shevardnadze (e.g. former Minister of State Security of Georgia Igor Giorgadze).
