The government session scheduled for today has been postponed for September 22. Two representatives of the reformers’ wing the Justice Minister Mikheil Saakashvili and the Minister of Agriculture David Kirvalidze would not attend the traditional Wednesday session. They are off Georgia.
It seems President Shevardnadze decided not to hold the government meeting without these Ministers and waits for their arrival. It is expected that Saakashvili and Kirvalidze will leave their positions at the next government session.
Meeting of the executive branch scheduled for today had a great importance because of the transformations taking place in the government.
