Additional Military Units of Georgian Army in Kodori Gorge, Abkhazia

Additional military units of Georgian army are located in Kodori gorge – the only part of Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government, Minister of Defense of Georgia Davit Tevzadze stated today.

The units of Defense Ministry are to protect the Georgian population living in Kodori gorge. “Army will not attack Abkhazian military units and will only protect peaceful population of the gorge”, Davit Tevzadze stated.  

The Defense Minister said that these military units will implement defense operations in case of attacks from the Abkhazian side.
