Sukhumi in Panic

Sukhumi, capital of breakaway republic of Abkhazia is in panic, because of armed clashes between the Abkhazian fighters and Georgian-Chechen fighters. Population is leaving the city, Head of Abkhazian government (composed of the Georgian members of the Abkhaz government fled during the war of 1992-1993) in exile Tamaz Nadareishvili and former Security Minister of Georgia, parliamentarian Irakli Batiashvili stated today.

“In case if Abkhazian side dose not resume negotiations with the official Tbilisi regarding the status of Abkhazia within the Georgian state, government of Georgia has to solve conflict with the military means according to the UN charter”, Chairman of Supreme Council of Abkhazia Tamaz Nadareishvili stated.
