Fighting in 15 Kilometers from Sukhumi, Abkhazia – 12:44 15.10

Fighting were lasting for whole night on October 14th, approximately 15 kilometers away from Sukhumi in Tsebelda village, Gulripshi region. Relatively smaller scale clashes occurred in Gali region. According to Rustavi 2 TV, Abkhazian side has suffered significant losses. Radio BBC reports that Georgians and Chechens captured 25 adversaries. Russian citizens are reported to be among the captured fighters.

Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze confirmed fact of clashes and casualties. According to the information, which President possesses there were no more fighting in the morning, October 15th. However, situation near Sukhumi remains extremely tense.
