Two Russian Jets Violated Georgian Airspace Today

Tow Russian jets violated Georgian airspace on October 17, 11:05 am. Two SU-25 “Frogfoot” entered Georgian airspace over Mestia, western Georgia and then flied in the direction of Marukhi pass, territory in Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government. After this maneuver Russia jets left Georgian airspace.

Defense Ministry of Georgia expresses concern regarding the violation of Georgian airspace.

This is the third case of violation of Georgian airspace by the Russian military jets since the October 9, when Georgian villages in Kodori gorge were bombed.
