Russia has no Imperialist Aspirations – Zhvania States

The bombardments of Georgian territory by Russian warplanes should be discussed on the international level, Parliamentary Chairman Zurab Zhvania stated today.

In spite of the continued bombardments Zurab Zhvania believes that “modern Russia is not a country with imperialist aspirations any more. New Russia is different from Yeltsin’s Russia”.

“Georgia will try to build new relations with new Russia”, Georgian Parliamentary Chairman announced.

Zurab Zhvania visited Moscow on October 25-28 and held meetings with his Russian counterpart Genadi Seleznyov and other representatives of Russian political groups.
