Parliament Not to Approve Some of the Candidates

(Tbilisi. November 16. Civil Georgia) – Parliament will not approve all the candidates proposed by President Shevardnadze for the ministers’ post, Parliamentary Chairman Nino Burjanadze stated on November 16. Nino Burjanadze did not explain exactly which candidates would have problems concerning the approval.             

President Shevardnadze submitted to the Parliament candidatures of the new ministers late yesterday. Most of the candidates are the ex-ministers fired on November 1 by the President.

Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense initiates discussion of candidature for State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania. He has a real chance to receive the Parliamentary approval without any problems.
