Four Monks are Abducted in Pankisi Gorge

(Tbilisi. November 19. Civil Georgia) – Reports say today that four orthodox Christian monks were kidnapped in Pankisi gorge a week ago. They ware abducted form Tusheti, mountainous region in western Georgia. Relatives of monks stated that kidnappers demanded $1 million in ransom.  

Two Spaniard businessmen and one citizen of Georgia are still detained in Pankisi gorge by the kidnappers at the moment.
