Russian Peacekeepers Blame Georgia in Harboring Chechen Guerrillas
(Tbilisi. November 22. Civil Georgia) – Major General Nikolai Sidorichev, commander of the CIS peacekeeping force in Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone stated at the meeting with the Georgian representatives today that Chechen insurgents left the territory of Abkhazia and moved to Svaneti, mountainous region in western Georgia.
He accuses Chechen guerrillas of attacking peacekeepers on November 17.
Georgian authorities deny information about being Chechen guerrillas on the territory controlled by the Georgian government.
