(Tbilisi. November 29. Civil Georgia) – Reports say today that three kidnapped monks out of four are released in Pankisi gorge on November 27. Police say that no ransom was paid. Kidnappers demanded $1 million in ransom. Law enforcers do not report details of the release. One abducted monk still remains detained in Pankisi gorge.
Two hermit monks and two novices were kidnapped in early November from Tusheti, mountainous region in eastern Georgia are detained in Pankisi gorge.
One Georgian and two Spanish citizens are still detained in Pankisi by the kidnappers.
