Shevardnadze to Push Bombardment Issue at CIS Summit
(Tbilisi. November 30. Civil Georgia) – Today President Shevardnadze makes a speech at the summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States. It is anticipated that Eduard Shevardnadze will be extremely critical towards the Russia’s attack on Georgia and bombardment of Pankisi gorge.
Georgian President will raise the issue at the bilateral meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimer Putin as well, on November 30.
Officials in Moscow still deny that Russian warplanes attacked Pankisi gorge. The US state department and observers from OSCE, monitoring Georgian-Russian boarder in Georgia confirmed that Russian combat helicopters and warplanes bombed the Georgian territory.
