The Part of MPs Demand to Investigate Reasons of Mass Protests in November

(Tbilisi. December 4. Civil Georgia) – The part of the Parliamentarians demanded today to investigate the reasons of mass protests in November demanding Internal Affairs, State Security Ministers and the President’s resignation.

The New Faction leader Levan Gachechiladze stated that the meeting in front of the Parliament was illegal because officials did not permit it. Chairman of the faction United Georgia Giorgi Targamadze demanded to investigate which political forces encouraged the students to protest against the government.

The faction XXI Centaury leader Vakhtang Bochorishvili evaluated such demands as undemocratic.

The part of the politicians accuses MP Mikheil Saakashvili and his associates form the reformers team in organizing and encouraging the students’ protests in front of the Parliament. In the wave of the mass protest President Shevardnadze sacked the entire cabinet on November 1.
