Student Protest Insists on Preliminary Elections

(Tbilisi. December 5. Civil Georgia) – Part of the students holds a protest meeting in front of the Parliament demanding preliminary parliamentary elections. Students stated that the meeting is a warning protest and in case the Parliament does not fulfill the demand permanent mass protests will take place in Tbilisi.

Part of MPs supports the idea of preliminary elections, which are mainly from MP Mikheil Saakashvili’s reformers team.

Ex-Parliamentary chairman Zurab Zhvania stated that the preliminary elections are the only way out of the crisis in Georgia.
