Protesters in Regions Demand to Increase Electricity Supply

(Tbilisi. December 6. Civil Georgia) – In deferent parts of Georgia population blocked highways today demanding from the government to increase electricity supply.

The local population blocked the road near Kutaisi, the major city in Imereti region, western Georgia, for couple of hours. Along with the electricity they demanded better water supply.

The population also blocked the central highway in Rustavi town, near Georgian capital Tbilisi.

Providing electricity to the population is a problem especially in the winter. The street protests demanding increased supply of electricity becomes more and more frequent in the Georgian capital as well.
