Georgian Intelligence Found the Lost Japanese Journalist

(Tbilisi. December 8. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Intelligence agency found Japanese journalist on December 7. He was missing since July, 2001. Georgian officials say that 33-years-old Kosuke Tsuneoka was in Pankisi gorge, region in Georgia bordering Chechnya.

Moscow-based journalist intended to interview Chechen fighters in the rebel republic. In June he visited Georgia. From here Tsuneoka tried to infiltrate in Chechnya.

Reports say that Japanese citizen was detained in Pankisi gorge by the kidnappers. Other details of the case are unknown.
