Georgian Defense Minister to Meet His Russian Counterpart in Brussels

(Tbilisi. December 17. Civil Georgia) – Defense Minister of Georgia Davit Tevzadze visits Brussels on 17-19 December. He will participate in the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC).

In Brussels Davit Tevzadze will meeting his Russian counterpart Sergei Ivanov. It is anticipated that the issue of investigation of Georgian territory’s bombardment on November 27 will be discussed during the negotiations.

Georgia blames Russia in attack. Russian side denies the accusation. Presidents of the two countries, Putin and Shevardnadze agreed on creation of the joint commission to investigate the bombardment case.

Georgian authorities demand from Russia to hasten creation of the joint commission.
