Electricity Supply Improved – Energy Minister Says

(Tbilisi. December 25. Civil Georgia) – Electricity supply to the Georgian capital Tbilisi is being improved, stated Davit Mirtskhulava, Energy Minister today. After the explosion at the “AES-Mtkvari” energy station, owned by the American company AES on December 22 Tbilisi was blacked out.

Energy Minister did not comment whether it will be possible to provide the capital with uninterrupted electricity supply on the new year’s eve.

Georgia increased import of the electricity from Russia after the explosion at the power-generating unit.
