Parliament Postponed Discussion over Draft of 2002 Budget
(Tbilisi. December 28. Civil Georgia) – As anticipated the Parliament decided to discuss the draft of the budget for 2002 in January. At the special Parliamentary session on December 27 MPs criticized the proposed draft and agreed to form a commission to work over it. Executive government members will also join the commission.
According to the proposed draft, expenditure part of the budget for 2002 is approximately 1.2 billion Lari ($500 million) and income part stands for one billion Lari. Some MPs insist on increasing the expenditure part.
