Vital Power Line Restored

(Tbilisi, January 16, Civil Georgia) – High voltage power line Kavkasioni using for supplying electricity from Russia to Georgia was restored on January 15, Georgian Fuel-Energy Ministry reports.

Power line was damaged because of heavy snowfalls in the North Caucasus mountains on January 2.

Damage caused the growth of the energy crisis in Georgia, as Russia is the main supplier of electricity to Georgia after the explosion at the AES-Mtkvari power plant on December 22, 2001.
