MP Attacked Again

(Tbilisi, January 17, Civil Georgia) – On January 17 Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze asked law enforcement agencies to react on attack on MP Sandro Bregadze, member of the Revival faction.

Several masked criminals raided MPs flat on January 17 at 3 am. Sandro Bregadze states that the criminals took his registered handgun and money.

Bregadze suspects that the representatives of law enforcement agencies robbed him.

This is the second case of attacking MPs in Georgia. Member of the faction New Abkhazia – Christian-Democrats Gocha Jojua was heavily beat up on November 18. Jojua claimed that the former head of Tbilisi Police Department Soso Alavidze beat him up.
