Ugrekhelidze Re-Elected to the European Court of Human Rights

(Tbilisi, January 24, Civil Georgia) – Mindia Ugrekhelidze, the judge in respect from Georgia, was re-elected to the European Court of Human Rights on January 23, press service of European Court of Human Rights reports.

The Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly elected him from
a list of three candidates submitted by Georgia. 

Mindia Ugrekhelidze’s new office term starts on 25 June 2002 and expires on 31 October 2007.

He was a Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia in 1990-98.
