(Tbilisi, February 14, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Foreign Affairs Minister Irakli Menagarishvili arrives in Moscow today to hold the second stage of negotiations with the Russian authorities on the framework agreement.
Last December Russian delegation visited Georgia and held negotiations on the draft of the framework agreement between Georgia and Russia.
Presidents of Georgia and the Russian Federation signed a framework agreement about friendship, peaceful relationship and cooperation on November 3, 1994. Georgian Parliament ratified the document but Russian Duma Council refused to ratify it somehow.
Now two states agreed to prepare a new framework agreement.
