Anticorruption Council Slams Draft Law on Rescheduling Company Debts
(Tbilisi, February 22, Civil Georgia) – Anticorruption Council criticizes draft law on Rescheduling of Tax Debts and State Loans of state-owned strategic industries.
Secretary of the Anticorruption Council Mirian Gogiashvili stated on February 22 that the draft law will be a source of corruption.
Experts think that only those entities that developed close links with the government would be allowed to reschedule their debts.
Representatives of the Finance Ministry, where the draft was elaborated believe that the document will help to privatize state-owned companies.
