Georgian-Abkhazian Talks on Kodori Postponed
(Tbilisi, February 26, Civil Georgia) – Meeting between representatives of Georgian government and unrecognized Abkhazian authorities scheduled for February 26 is postponed because of heavy weather.
Georgian Special Affairs Minister Malkhaz Kakabadze was to discuss issues of joint Georgian-Abkhazian monitoring of Kodori gorge with the Abkhaz side.
UN mission’s chief military observer Anis Ahmed Bajwa also intended to participate in the meeting.
At the previous meeting, a week ago sides could not agree on the details of the joint monitoring of the gorge.
