Georgia Condemns Elections in Abkhazia
(Tbilisi, March 2, Civil Georgia) – The Parliamentary elections are held in unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia on March 2.
Georgian Foreign Affairs Ministry issued a statement on March 1 condemning elections in breakaway Abkhazia.
The Parliamentary elections are not legitimate as thousands of displaced persons from Abkhazia are not able to participate in the election, Foreign Ministry states.
This is the third Parliamentary elections in breakaway Abkhazia since the Georgian government lost its control over the region.
