No Need in Prime Minister – Shevardnadze Says
(Tbilisi, March 4, Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze stated at the news briefing on March 4, that he is satisfied with the present government, so there is no need in the Prime Minister’s post any more.
State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze also thinks that the discussion of the issue should be postponed at least for couple of years.
President Shevardnadze already proposed the draft law on the ministers’ cabinet to the Parliament last year, but the MPs refused to discuss it, because the draft would strengthen the President’s positions.
