US Military Experts Work Over the Assessment Report on Georgia
(Tbilisi, March 5, Civil Georgia) – US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld stated at the news briefing on March 4 that the United States is waiting for the report of assessment team visited Georgia recently to start assistance program with Georgia.
“There was an assessment team in Georgia. It has made a report back. General Myers [chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff of the USA] is awaiting that report and then will come to me with it and we’ll have a discussion about it within the government and make a judgment as to what we might be – end up doing,” Donald Rumsfeld stated.
According to the Georgian Defense Ministry the US military instructors are to visit Georgia in late March to start train-and-equip program for the Defense Ministry’s units.
