USA Assists Georgia with Mine-Clearing Equipment

(Tbilisi, March 11, Civil Georgia) – The US government hands over mine-clearing equipment to the Georgian Defense Ministry on March 11.

Assistance is carried out within the “Mine-clearers for Peace” program. Charge d’Affairs of the United States in Georgia Philip Remler attends the handover ceremony in the Defense Ministry.

“Mine-clearers for Peace” program is implemented since 2000. In the frames of the program the USA trained Georgian mine-clearers.
