USA, Georgia – Allies, Georgia Security Chief Says

(Tbilisi, March 14, Civil Georgia) – “The US-Georgian cooperation and partnership grew into strategic alliance, we are allies,” Georgian State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania stated in the interview to the Georgian State TV channel on march 13.

Khaburdzania visits the United States at the moment to hold talks with his American counterparts on the situation in Georgia and particularly in Pankisi gorge, where Chechen and Al-Qaeda fighters are harboring.

Georgia Security Minister intends to arrive in London after visiting the United States. Situation in Pankisi gorge will be the main issue during the talks with the British security officials.
