Georgia Aims NATO Membership – Shevardnadze Says
(Tbilisi, March 18, Civil Georgia) – Georgian President Shevardnadze told the German newspaper Mitteldeutsche Zeitung on March 17 that Georgia aims to become member of NATO in the long term perspective.
President Shevardnadze visits Brussels at the moment where he will meet Lord Robertson, NATO Secretary General on March 18.
Our aspiration to NATO must not concern Russia, Shevardnadze stated.
