Georgian Security Chief Discussed Pankisi Issue in USA, UK

(Tbilisi, March 22, Civil Georgia) – During his visit to Washington and London Georgian State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania discussed issues of combating terrorists in Pankisi gorge, who have links with Al-Qaeda.

Khaburdzania visited the USA and Britain on March 9-20. Georgian Minister met representatives of CIA, FBI and British security services.

The Minister said that US trained 1500 Georgian soldiers will “ensure countries security on the minimal level”.
