Government Wants Tougher Law to Fight Against Money Laundering

(Tbilisi, April 4, Civil Georgia) – Georgian State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze stated at the government’s meeting on April 3 that Georgia should take measures to prevent money laundering in Georgia.

State Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania demands to make amendments on the law on National Bank of Georgia so that to study suspicious money transfers.  

Georgian State Security Minister says that many doubtful organizations based abroad extensively used Georgian banking system.
