Couple of hundred demonstrators gathered in front of the Parliament building today to pay tribute to the victims of tragedy of April 9, 1989.
13 years ago the Soviet Special Forces dissolved protesters at Rustaveli central avenue of Tbilisi, killing 21 people.
Protesters demanded Georgia’s independence from the Soviet Union.
Georgian President, Parliamentary Chairperson and other Georgian officials, together with the political parties also participated in the tribute ceremony.
