AES Loses the Case

(Tbilisi, May 17, Civil Georgia) – District court took the decision that the US company AES, which distributes electricity in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, should sign contract with the Tbilisi population and take responsibility to provide capital with electricity round the clock.

It was the public sue of the Tbilisi residents against the company. The initiator of the case was the Revival Union political party. 

Some of the politicians claim that it was the part of the pre-elections campaign of the Revival Union.

The AES company intends to appeal the Supreme Court.
