Parliament Ceases Sessions Before the Locals

(Tbilisi, May 18, Civil Georgia) – Parliament ceased today plenary sessions before the local self-governance elections scheduled for June 2.

The decision was unanimously taken by the MPs last week, as they feared that some of the political groups would use the session for their own pre-election campaign.

The Parliamentary sessions will be renewed on June 4.
