Georgian Foreign Minister at CIS Ministerial Summit

(Tbilisi, May 30, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Foreign Minister Irakli Menagharishvili participates in the Foreign Ministers’ summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States [CIS] in Moscow on May 30.

Georgian Foreign Ministry reports that together with other issues Russian peacekeepers’ mandate deployed in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone under the auspices of the CIS will be discussed.

Georgia demands changes in the mandate of the peacekeepers and involvement of other countries in the peacekeeping operation in the conflict zone.

At the ministerial summit fight against the international terrorism will also be discussed.
