Votes will Be Re-Counted

(Tbilisi, June 4, Civil Georgia) – Central Election Commission (CEC) will count votes of all the constituencies in Tbilisi once again. CEC took the decision on June 4.

Decision was taken after the most of the leading political parties demanded to check the results of the local elections, as total frauds were noticed in the electorates’ lists.

Juridical Department of the CEC is to work out the procedure of the re-counting within the day.

In case the CEC finds that the existing frauds influences the final results of the locals, by-election will be held in Tbilisi.

At the moment Labor Party of Georgia and the National Movement – Democratic Front lead the elections.
