Russian Security Chief Met Georgian Officials

(Tbilisi, June 15, Civil Georgia) – Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimer Rushailo met Georgian Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Davit Bakradze and Deputy Foreign Minister Merab Antadze in Moscow on June 14.

Russian media sources report that Georgian and Russian officials discussed issue of repatriation of the Chechen refugees living in Georgia’s Pankisi gorge and the situation in Kodori gorge, the only part of breakaway Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government.

They also discussed the peace process between the Georgian and Abkhazian sides and the issue of the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in the Abkhazian conflict zone.
