Scotland Yard Involved in Investigation of Shaw’s Case
(Tbilisi, June 24, Civil Georgia) – Two experts from the Scotland Yard arrived in Georgia late on June 23 to participate in the investigation of the abduction case of British citizen Peter Shaw.
“Our British counterparts expressed willingness to take part in the investigation and assist Georgian police,” Paata Gomelauri, Interior Ministry’s spokesman told the Civil Georgia on June 24.
Co-Director of the Agro-Business Bank Peter Shaw was kidnapped on June 18 in Georgian capital Tbilisi. According to one of the versions, Shaw might have been kidnapped because of his commercial activity.
The police refuses to disclose information concerning the abduction case. “There is no public information available concerning the investigation so far,” Paata Gomelauri said.
