Zhvania Says Georgia Should Be Parliamentary State
(Tbilisi, July 1, Civil Georgia) – Zurab Zhvania, leader of the United Democrats party said at the news briefing today that the party intends to launch consultations with the political groups concerning the amendments in the Constitution of Georgia.
He stated that the existing model of the government is not acceptable for most of the political parties.
“As for me I prefer Georgia to be the Parliamentary county rather then Presidential,” Zhvania said at the news briefing.
Georgian State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze said at one of the government’s meeting that the debates concerning the Constitutional amendments and creation of Ministerial Cabinet led by the Prime Minister should be postponed at least for two years.
