Pankisi No More No-Go Area, Interior Minister Says

(Tbilisi, July 5, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Interior Minister Koba Narchemashvili reported to the Parliament on July 4 that “Pankisi gorge is not inaccessible for the law enforcers like it was before.”

There is the police station in Duisi village, center of Pankisi, Narchemashvili said. The Minister guarantees that the law enforcers can move in the gorge freely any time.

Narchemashvili told the MPs that the police have arrested many of the criminals hiding in the gorge recently.
